A Window On Worship.
This past year has seen little change in the way our worship is conducted and yet there have bee some significant changes in membership. With the addition of both Christine Reddish and Joan Layzell to our team both of whom will undoubtedly strengthen our membership. For a limited time, we had the pleasure of welcoming Anne Edwards to our meetings, Anne is one of the Readers from Walkern and Bennington who joined us for a while just prior to her licensing. Regrettably we had to say a fond farewell to Eric Holmes, Eric had served on the task team for a number of years and his jovial, open enthusiasm has been missed, and I am sure all the members would like to wish him well as he takes some time just to put his feet up (chance would be a fine thing!).
There have been a number of additional services in the past year with perhaps the service following Ysmena’s Ordination being one that stands out. An ongoing addition to our worship has been the monthly mid week service, this service of “Prayer and Praise” takes place on the fourth Wednesday of each month at Christ the King, the style of which seems to be evolving into a more reflective and meditative one, that has wide appeal both within our own congregations and beyond.
So apart from the general maintenance of our now familiar service booklets, there seems to be little more to report. Be assured, that the task team is constantly reviewing our worship, to ensure that in the coming year our worship will remain vibrant, varied, topical, relevant, and Reverent.
